I was 19 when a stranger abducted and raped me.
Less than 20% of rapes are committed by a stranger. 

One of the first times I shared my story was at Fairfield University. Multiple students in the audience stood up and shared for the first time that they too were victims. It is a moment I will never forget. 

If you are a victim, go to the hospital and get a rape kit. This was crucial evidence in my case against my abductor and one of the main reasons he is now behind bars.If I didn't come forward, he would still be hurting people.
